This educational programme is specially designed to teach the whole family the importance of recycling along with practical examples of how to recycle at home.
Year 5 pupils who attend participating schools in Rochdale borough will receive a one-hour lesson at their school from one of our recycling officers. This means they'll be primed to settle down with their parents or guardians and play along as the whole family tests their recycling knowledge. They could also help their school win cash prizes.
Recycling is important because putting the wrong stuff in the wrong bin costs you and the council a lot of money. Recycling right saves us all money, enables us to spend more on essential local services and reduces the pressure on the world's limited resources.
