Renewal of vows ceremonies

You can renew your marriage vows or civil partnership promises at Rochdale Register Office in a unique and personal way. It does not have any legal status.

A civil ceremony cannot include any religious content. If you'd prefer a religious ceremony, you'll need to contact the relevant minister to discuss your requirements.

Arrange your ceremony

You'll need to follow these steps to arrange your renewal ceremony:

  1. Find locations for your ceremony.
  2. Provisionally book your ceremony.
  3. Make an appointment - once you've decided on the location and date of your ceremony, contact the Register Office to book an appointment to discuss the details of your ceremony and to pay a deposit.
  4. Attend your appointment - you'll need to bring your marriage or civil partnership certificate with you.
  5. Have your ceremony - we'll present you with a commemorative certificate during the ceremony.

Personalising your ceremony

Contact us to discuss options for personalising your ceremony.
