If you wish to have your civil ceremony in the Red Rose Suite or at a licensed venue within the borough, you can make a provisional booking with us to secure a date and time for your ceremony.
All marriages and civil partnerships must be attended by a Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar in the district where the ceremony will take place.
You can provisionally book a registrar up to 2 years in advance of the ceremony. This includes marriages, civil partnerships, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies.
We can attend your ceremony on any day during the year apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day, subject to availability.
It costs £35 to provisionally book your ceremony. This fee is non-refundable.
You need to pay the rest of your ceremony fee at least 2 weeks before your ceremony before you can marry or register a civil partnership at a licensed venue.
Once you've provisionally booked your ceremony, do not forget to also make an appointment to give notice of marriage.
