About Our Place fostering
We need Our Place foster carers. We're looking for people who think they may be able to give young people in Our Place care the stability, skills and support they need.
Our Place is a way of providing support to young people over 9 years old who are in care or at risk of being taken into care.
Young people attend the Our Place Hub where a single integrated team provide all their care services.
About the Our Place fostering model
Our Place brings together an integrated range of accommodation options, services and outreach to support young people. Several professionals will work with the young person as part of one integrated team.
We hope it will enable them to access the right services at the right time, in the right place and with the right support.
The model originates from the No Wrong Door model developed by North Yorkshire County Council. No Wrong Door helped reduce the number of children in care in their area by 18 per cent in 5 years.
