About the Household Support Fund
Rochdale Borough Council is investing £3.3 million to help support older residents and households most in need over the spring and summer of 2022. This includes £2.3 million from the government. At least 66 per cent of the government funding is required to be spent supporting older people and households with children.
This financial support will be used to help people meet the costs of the following:
- Food and household items.
- Energy costs including help with your bills, energy saving measures, and the repair and replacement of heating systems.
- Support for our food banks, food clubs and food pantries.
- Support packs, including nappies, baby food and sanitary products.
We'll be working with partners across the borough, including the voluntary sector, community groups and charities, to ensure those most in need receive the targeted assistance.
