January 2020 - The idea
Anthony and Declan (names changed to protect identities) started thinking about fostering in the new year of 2020 and they were approved as foster carers with us in September 2020. They foster a brother and sister who are aged 13 and 10.
“We’ve no parenting experience but we’ve other experience we can draw on with our family and friends. We’ve gone straight into fostering older children and it’s a wonderful experience. Our home is full of love, fun and a little bit of chaos; which we think is the perfect mix.”
They’re kindly documenting their fostering journey with us, giving an insight into life at home and how it’s just like any other home, in a series of regular stories.
