The role of the Schools Forum is to provide views and advice to the local authority on the formulation of key aspects of strategy and budget whilst also considering wider educational issues.
Schools Forum membership
Members of the Schools Forum are nominated through school groups and representatives include head teachers, governors, elected members, council officers and professional associations, such as trades unions.
Schools Forum meetings
The Schools Forum holds 4 ordinary meetings a year, usually in June, October, December and January. Additional meetings may be held if there are urgent items for consideration.
Meetings are open to the public, but you can only ask questions or make comments if invited to do so by the Chair.
