Crisis Payments

Crisis Payments are available if you're facing sudden and unexpected financial difficulties that make it hard to meet your basic living costs.

If you're eligible, you could get a Crisis Payment of up to £75 in the form of a voucher to support with food and energy costs.

Eligibility

You could get a Crisis Payment if you're:

  • A resident of the borough of Rochdale
  • Aged 16 years or over and no one receives child benefit for you

How to apply

You can apply for a Crisis Payment once every 6 months.

What is a crisis?

There is no set list of what is classed as a crisis, however examples could include unforeseen events such as a fire, flood, a health emergency, or loss of employment.
