Smithy Bridge Road, roadworks in Littleborough from 23 May 2026

Area: Pennines
Expected start and finish: 9pm on Saturday, 23 May 2026–5pm on Sunday, 24 May 2026
Reason: To replace electrical cables and apparatus.
Restriction and location: Part of Smithy Bridge Road will be temporarily closed. The closure will begin 15 metres north west of the level crossing and end 40 metres further down the road in a south easterly direction.
Alternative route: Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow Road (Littleborough), Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Bridge Street, Rochdale Road, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Albert Royds Street, Halifax Road (A58) and Smithy Bridge Road.
