Ball games

The playing of ball games can sometimes become a nuisance to others and there can also be a risk of injury to residents and pedestrians.

Please bear in mind that it is generally acceptable for children to play games on areas allocated for recreational activities and large areas of open space land.

Complaints about ball games

We do not have the power to stop people from playing ball games in the street.

We don't generally investigate complaints about ball games. In most cases a degree of tolerance should be exercised.

However, if there's a risk to others or if you're being deliberately intimidated we will act.
