Private landlords may need a licence from the council to rent out their accommodation.
The Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) register lists licensed HMOs, is frequently updated and accurate at the time of publication.
The register includes:
- Properties which have a licence or have been granted a Temporary Exemption Notice
- The postal address of the property
- The number of habitable rooms
The register does not include properties where a licence application is still being processed. If a property is not listed, this does not necessarily mean it is operating illegally.
