Middleton Remembrance Sunday 2026, road closures in Middleton on 8 November 2026

There will be temporary closures along the following roads:

• Park Road, for its entire length.
• Long Street, from the junction with the Assheton Way, Eastway, Long Street and Market Street roundabout to the junction with Manchester New Road.
• Manchester New Road, from the junction with Long Street to the junction with the Middleton Way and Oldham Road roundabout.
• The whole of the Middleton Way and Oldham Road roundabout.
• Both sides of Middleton Way, for its entire length.
• The whole of the Middleton Way and Manchester Old Road roundabout.
• Manchester Old Road, from the Middleton Way and Manchester Old Road roundabout to the Garden of Remembrance.

• Park Road, for its entire length.
• Long Street, from the junction with the Assheton Way, Eastway, Long Street and Market Street roundabout to the junction with Manchester New Road.
• Manchester New Road, from the junction with Long Street to the junction with the Middleton Way and Oldham Road roundabout.
• The Middleton Way and Oldham Road roundabout for its entire circumference.
• Middleton Way, both sides for its entire length.
• The Manchester Old Road and Middleton Way roundabout for its entire circumference.
• Manchester Old Road, from the Manchester Old Road and Middleton Way roundabout to the Garden of Remembrance.

Due to the nature and duration of the event, alternative routes will not be in place.
