When these works take place depends on the weather.
The works will take place overnight on one of the following nights:
- 5pm on Sunday, 4 October 2026–5am on Monday, 5 October 2026
- 5pm on Sunday, 11 October 2026–5am on Monday, 12 October 2026
- 5pm on Sunday, 18 October 2026–5am on Monday, 19 October 2026
The actual start date, once confirmed, will be signed on site before the works take place.

- To allow space for a crane lift to be carried out.
- Restriction and location

Part of The Esplanade will be temporarily closed. The closure will begin at the junction with St Mary's Gate and end 20 metres along the road in an easterly direction.
- Alternative route

There will be no alternative route available for vehicles. A marshal will be on site to allow safe access to the car parks.
