Expected start and finish: The order will be in place between 8am–6pm on 2 days that could be any time between Monday, 20 July 2026 and Sunday, 9 August 2026, depending on the weather.

Advance warning signs showing the exact dates will be on site 2 weeks before any work starts.
Reason: To work on surface dressing on the road.
Restriction and location: Part of Birch Road will be temporarily closed. The closure will begin at the junction with Ramsden Road and end 1,236 metres down the road in a south easterly direction. No waiting will be allowed at any time in this area during the closure.
Alternative route: Ramsden Road, Wardle Road, Halifax Road (A58) and Birch Road.
