Milnrow and Newhey Carnival, road closures in Milnrow on 20 June 2026

• The road closures will happen from 12noon–2.30pm on Saturday, 20 June 2026.
• The prohibition of waiting will be in effect from 9am–2.30pm on Saturday, 20 June 2026.

The following roads will be temporarily closed:

• Haugh Lane, for its entire length.
• Railway Street, for its entire length.
• Huddersfield Road, from its junction with Haugh Lane to its junction with Newhey Road and Shaw Road.
• Newhey Road, for its entire length.
• Dale Street, for its entire length.
• Station Road, for its entire length.
• Equitable Street, for its entire length.
• Harbour Lane North, for its entire length.
• Bridge Street, from its junction with Harbour Lane North to its junction with Dale Street.

Waiting will be temporarily prohibited at any time along the following roads:

• Haugh Lane, for its entire length.
• Huddersfield Road, from its junction with Haugh Lane to its junction with Peppermint Close.
• The westerly side of Newhey Road, from the M62 bridge to the junction with New Street.

Due to the nature and duration of the event, it is unnecessary for alternative routes to be in place.
