In September 2019, Rochdale was named as one of 101 places in the UK to share in the £3.6 billion Towns Fund. The funding aims to ‘support towns to build prosperous futures’.
How we can use the Towns Fund
We can spend the money on improving transport, boosting broadband connectivity and providing social and cultural infrastructure.
The government chose the area where we can spend the money which covers Rochdale town centre, Castleton, Smallbridge, Balderstone, Deeplish, Norden and Kingsway Business Park.
