You can apply using either our priority service or our standard service, depending on how quickly you need the certificate. Central government set the fees for copy certificates.
Priority service copy certificate application
Your certificate will be issued within 24 hours and can be collected or sent to you in the post. You can apply in person, online or over the phone.
Fees for priority service copy certificates
- Online applications: £38.50
- Over the phone applications: £43.50
Standard service copy certificate application
Your certificate will be issued after 5 working days and can be collected or sent to you in the post. You can apply online.
