Fireground - the new fire station museum

Fireground, the fire service museum, opened in 2021 following a multi-million pound National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported revamp.

Fireground reopened in 2021 following a multi-million pound revamp.

The museum tells the story of firefighting, particularly in the Greater Manchester region. There are a number of vehicles and artefacts on display, as well as interactive exhibitions for children, a shop and cafe.

Fireground offers educational visits for pupils and students of all ages from reception to A-level.
