There are a range of grants and support available that could help make your home more energy efficient and save you money.
Rochdale Warm Homes Fund
You could qualify for support to make your home warmer, safer and more energy‑efficient.
Funding is available for essential improvements, including boiler replacements, white goods like fridge freezers and washing machines, and repairs to damp or roofing issues.
Who can apply
You could qualify if:
- You claim a means tested benefit.
- You have a long term medical condition.
- Your household’s combined annual income is below £36,000.

GMCA home energy efficiency funding (ECO) grant
You could be eligible for free energy-saving home improvements if:
- Your home has an EPC rating of D or below. Check the EPC rating of your home
- Your household income is under £31,000 a year.
- Someone in your home has an eligible long-term health condition (NHS letter required).
- A child in your home receives free school meals.
- Someone in your home has been referred by an energy supplier or Citizens Advice.
This support is part of the ECO grant, run by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) for all local councils in Greater Manchester.
