Food, drinks and fun: Street Eat returns to Rochdale Town Hall Square

Organisers of Street Eat, the popular food festival returning to Rochdale Town Hall Square on Saturday, 30 May 2026 have revealed more about the 2026 line-up.

The event, organised by Rochdale Business Improvement District (BID) brings together local food and drink establishments for a serving of food, drink, free entertainment and music from 11am to 7pm.

Once again tasty food from local restaurant chefs will be on the menu, with dozens of mouth-watering dishes including, Italian, Spanish, Thai, Indian, English, American and more.

‘Such a great day out’

The list of traders features established favourites and some tasty new arrivals. It includes prosecco bar Sip and Sparkle, The Flying Horse Hotel, burgers from Bank Top Farm, pizza from Vicolo del Vino, tapas from La Mancha, popular new pub and eatery Moody Blue, Bombay Brew (Indian inspired street food specialists), Daniela’s Ice Cream, The Empire, Betty and Co Hot Dogs, Issan Friends (Thai street food), The Traditional Tuck Shop, Sugar Chic (fudge), Masons Creations (cookies), Cake Loves Cake (cake and Caribbean food), Brew Box (waffles and crepes) and multi-award winning independent brewery Wakey Wakey.

There will be free activities and rides for children, including Punch and Judy shows, face painting and a caricaturist sketching free personal portraits.

Sip and Sparkle are on the food and drink line-up again this year.

Street Eat includes bars for the adults and a live music stage hosted by Di Lynham from Happy Radio UK, serving up hours of fun for all ages. The music line-up includes popular duo Shenanigans, soloist Saskia Starkie who will be performing contemporary and classic pop hits, Suzanne Hassett with singalong crowd-pleasing classics and Turners Dance School. In addition, Rochdale Music Service are bringing a brass band, youth choir, pop choir and rock bands.

BID manager Paul Ambrose, who organises the event, said:

“Street Eat is a fantastic event, giving us the opportunity to champion the very best local food and drink. It brings friends and families together, celebrates our vibrant town centre eateries and shows what a foodie hotspot the town is. We do all we can to make the event as affordable as possible and entry is free.”

Councillor Sue Smith, cabinet member for communities and co-operation at Rochdale Borough Council said:

“This is always such a great day out and Rochdale Town Hall Square is a wonderful setting. It’s a great celebration of the incredible food and drink offer we have here in our town.”
