These are:
- Heap Bridge Industrial Estate, Heywood
- Sparth Industrial Estate, Rochdale
- Rhodes Business Park, Middleton

Why we need new waste sites
To dispose of our waste in a more environmentally friendly way, we need several new waste management facilities for recycling, composting, treating and collecting waste.
Greater Manchester is the largest producer of waste in the North West and traditionally, we have relied mostly on landfills to dispose of this waste.
