If you're 60 or older and finding it hard to manage any part of living at home, our Housing Options for Older People (HOOP) service might be able to help.
Get advice on housing, care and support
The HOOP service provides comprehensive advice on housing, care and support options to individuals, family members and professionals. The service can:
- Help you assess your housing situation
- Help with referrals for support, for example, if you need any aids or adaptations within your home
- Check your benefit entitlement
- Link you with community groups and other helpful agencies
Check if you're eligible
You're eligible to be referred for the HOOP service if:
- You and all members of your household are aged 60 or over
- You live in the borough of Rochdale
- You're concerned about your accommodation and health and wellbeing
- You're not homeless or likely to become homeless soon
Apply for the HOOP service
If you're eligible for the HOOP service, you can make a referral:
- Download and complete the HOOP referral form.
- Send the completed form by email to hoop@rochdale.gov.uk
- Once you've sent the referral form, we'll assess your application to decide how to best meet your needs.
- We'll contact you as soon as possible to discuss your referral further.
