We're delighted to be taking part in Side-by-Side Festival with Touchstones Rochdale, a free community festival celebrating creativity, connection and community in the heart of Rochdale.

- Who is this event suitable for? For families with children of all ages, but is most suitable for children of walking age. Children must be supervised by an appropriate adult at all times.
- Do I need to book? No, you can just come along. However, resources are limited so activities are ‘first come, first served’. You may need to wait for a space at busy times.

On the first day of the Side by Side Festival – Creativity for All (Thursday, 13 August 2026), the Holiday Hive will be joining the festival to deliver fun, family-friendly activities and promote the wide range of services available through Rochdale Borough Libraries. You'll also be able to find out more about this year's Summer Reading Challenge, discover what's happening in your local library, and learn how to get involved over the summer holidays.
