About this event

Come along and have a go at designing your own clay medieval-style heraldic tile.

During the medieval period, coats of arms were very important symbols to show off who you or your family were. People included different animals, weapons, plants and more in their designs, with each symbol representing a characteristic of its owner, in a practice called heraldry. These were sometimes made into special floor tiles to boast your good qualities to any visitors.
