In the borough of Rochdale, we are committed, through partnership working, to developing a high quality alternative provision offer. Our aim for this offer is to allow any school to meet the needs of individual children and young people, empowering individuals to progress and aspire to their full potential.
As part of this commitment, Rochdale provides support to alternative provisions and schools by undertaking a quality assurance process with local providers to help them to be the best they can be. All providers listed on these website pages have been through the quality assurance process. However, it's important that commissioners (usually schools) ensure they also undertake appropriate checks themselves in addition to those undertaken as part of this process. It remains the responsibility of the school to ensure that the provision is safe and is appropriate to meet need of children on their roll.
