We provide waste and recycling collection services across the borough. This includes standard bin collections, missed bins, replacement bins, bulky waste collections, and optional bin collection alerts.

You can request services, report issues, arrange collections, or subscribe to reminders. We are committed to being transparent about how we collect and use your personal data and to meeting our data protection obligations.

What personal information we collect
  • Name
  • Contact details
  • Household information (such as household members where relevant)
  • Age and date of birth (where required)
  • Health or disability information (e.g. assisted collections)
  • Identifiers such as Blue Badge number (if applicable)
  • Payment details for bulky waste removal where a charge applies (processed securely via Civica Web Pay)

Bin collection alerts (optional)

  • Address (to provide location-specific alerts)
  • Subscriber preferences and interaction data (for example, links clicked)

This service doesn't make any decisions using computers or programmes that don't involve a human being when using your personal information.
How long we keep your personal information
We keep personal information collected as part of this process for a minimum of 7 years from the last collection date request, or for an additional length of time if necessary. For bin collection reminders, we will hold your data on file until you unsubscribe.
Transferring personal information beyond the EEA
This service doesn't transfer your information outside the EEA.
We do not routinely share data with any organisation outside the UK, but our website is available across the internet, and we communicate with applicants and stakeholders wherever they are.
