- Introduction
-
This initiative aims to reduce the negative health impacts that can arise from living in cold or energy-inefficient homes. Many residents are unable to afford essential upgrades. Even small-scale interventions to improve warmth in the home have been shown to produce considerable health benefits, such as reducing mortality, improving mental health, and lowering the frequency of visits to healthcare providers
The Support Scheme will provide Energy Efficiency Measures and Major Home Improvements. This comprehensive support system ensures residents in Rochdale receive help from immediate emergencies through to permanent home improvements, promoting better health outcomes and reducing avoidable strain on local services.
