Summary

​This strategy has been developed to provide a framework for improving cost efficiency, reducing residual waste arisings and increasing recycling and composting rates. It also supports the aims and objectives of the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA) Waste Management Strategy, jointly agreed by the nine waste collection authorities (WCA) of Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside and Trafford.
