Bury Road - Sandy Lane junction, roadworks from 19 February 2024

The 4-way traffic signals will only be used from 7am–7pm, Mondays–Fridays when necessary between these dates.
Reason: To make improvements to the junction.
Restriction and location: Temporary single phase 4-way signals at the junction of Bury Road and Sandy Lane. The scheme involves:

Upgrading of the traffic signal ducting/chambers to allow the replacement of the traffic signal installation. The new signals will include controlled pedestrian/cyclist crossings.

Re-alignment of the kerb lines on all approaches and change of lane designation on Roch Valley Way to improve traffic flow and safety for vehicle movements.

Resurfacing of footways and carriageway and new road markings to tie-in on all approaches.
