Talk English project
The Talk English project is for adults with low levels of English.
The aim of the project is to help residents learn English and get involved in the wider community.
What you can get help with
If you're an adult UK resident, we can help you with:
- Reading, writing and speaking English.
- Learning about everyday topics to help boost your confidence and increase your independence.
- Trips and activities giving you the chance to practice your English while doing something exciting and different.
Our classes are FREE and are run by volunteers. We run classes once a week for 2 hours, during term time only.

Contact us using the details on this page to find out more about these classes. We'll arrange to meet with you to assess your level of English. We'll then direct you to a Talk English class in your local area.
You can call on behalf of someone else, but you must have the person's permission and contact details.

You'll also receive a training day to prepare you for your role as a Talk English tutor.
