Get support for older people
Older people may be able to access 2 payments of £60 from the Household Support Fund.
Eligibility
To be eligible for payments, you must be:
- A resident in the borough of Rochdale.
- Aged 66 years or older on 1 July 2023.
- Getting Council Tax Support on 1 July 2023 to receive the first payment.
- Getting Council Tax Support on 2 October 2023 to receive the second payment.
How to apply
You don't need to apply. We're writing to everyone who qualifies for these payments.
If we don't already hold your bank details, we'll write to you in July 2023 to ask you to provide this information.
When you'll receive the payment
If you're eligible for payments:
- You'll receive your first payment of £60 no later than Thursday, 31 August 2023.
- You'll receive your second payment of £60 no later than Thursday, 30 November 2023.
