Organisers of Rochdale Feel Good Festival have confirmed this year’s official venues for the event’s return on Saturday, 13 August 2022.
As well as the main stage, 5 venues will host indoor live music performances during the celebration of entertainment, food and culture. The Flying Horse Hotel and The Empire in Packer Street, The Medicine Tap in The Esplanade, The Baum in Toad Lane and Hoochi Koochi in South Parade will all stage live music.
On the eve of the festival (Friday, 12 August 2022), The Flying Horse will host 2 special festival stand-up comedy shows in The Old Court Room, headlined by Britain’s Got Talent and Phoenix Nights star Steve Royle – a family-friendly show at 6pm and an 8.15pm adults only show on a packed line-up that also includes the winner of BBC’s New Comedy Awards 2021 – Anna Thomas. Also on the Friday, Rochdale Feel Good Festival main stage DJ Dave Sweetmore plus his special guests will be warming up with an indie set behind the decks at Hoochi Koochi.
Rising star Anna Thomas will be on stage the night before the festival, winner of BBC’s New Comedy Awards 2021.
Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for events at Rochdale Borough Council, said:
“It is fantastic to see this festival coming back and with so much to see across our indoor venues we’ll certainly be giving music lovers something to celebrate and there’s comedy on the Friday evening to get you feeling good. This festival brings people into Rochdale from across the region and way beyond so it’s great to be able to showcase all these venues and there will be more acts announced in the coming weeks.”
Caroline Norton, owner of The Medicine Tap added:
“The Feel Good festival has always been a prominent date in Rochdale’s calendar, a great music event that creates such an incredible atmosphere. We’re so excited to be a part of it and show off some local musical talent.”
Rochdale Feel Good Festival on Saturday, 13 August 2022 will feature another showcase of top class entertainment, food and culture. There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage, plus quality food and drink.
