Rochdale Borough Council is supporting Foster Care Fortnight in a bid to recruit more foster carers across the borough of Rochdale.

The annual campaign, run by the Fostering Network, runs from Monday 9, May 2022 to Sunday, 22 May 2022 and this year’s theme is ‘fostering communities’.

The campaign highlights that there is a demand for carers who can offer a loving home to a variety of children who are in our care, particularly teenage children or siblings. It aims to show that people from all sectors of society can be, and are, foster carers.

Local foster carers and the council’s fostering team will be at The Royal Toby Hotel, Castleton, on Monday, 16 May 2022, 4pm–7pm, where people can come along at any time to find out more about fostering.

Foster carers make an incredible difference to the lives of cared for children in Rochdale. Foster Care Fortnight is an excellent opportunity to showcase the fantastic carers the council has, the great support offered to carers and the difference fostering can make to local children and young people.

If you’re interested in fostering, please attend the information session or contact our fostering team.
