Before the race
Here are some frequently asked questions about what to do before the race.
Can I change my entry?
If you need to change your entry you can do this in person on Sunday, 3 October 2021, 8am–9.30am at the signposted information point on The Esplanade near the start line.
A £3 administration fee will be payable for any changes. Your original number that you received in the post should be taken to the 'Registration Desk' to either transfer to someone else or swap to another of the races.
The unauthorised sale or transfer of your race entry or number to another person is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and or banning from future events for any individuals involved.
You cannot cancel your entry and all entry fees are non-refundable.
What should I do if I can't find my confirmation email?
Where do I pick up my number and timing chip?
This year we will post your race number and timing chip to you. This is to avoid you collecting it the day before or on the day when it can get very busy.
If you arrive on race day without your race number or timing chip, we'll allocate you a new one for a charge of £5.
What happens if a runner tests positive for COVID-19 or has to self-isolate?
If you have a positive COVID-19 test, you should follow government advice on isolating at home.
We'll roll your place over to the 2022 event if you send evidence to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I raise money for charity?
Our official charity for 2021 is Springhill Hospice. The Rochdale-based charity provides care for people with life-limiting illnesses.
You are welcome to raise money for any other charity/cause of your choice and you can easily set up a web page to collect your donations through websites including GoFundMe.
