About this event

Tasty street food, live music and family entertainment – a very festive feast. A special Christmas edition of this popular event.

Street Eat will bring together the town’s food and drink establishments, with delicious food and mulled wine served from alpine huts, live entertainment, with appearances from the man himself – Father Christmas.

Street Eat is family-friendly, with activities and free rides for the children (Teacups ride and Helta Skelta), a bar for the adults and live festive entertainment for everyone.

You’ll be able to buy and try as many small dishes as you like. All dishes will be £5 each or less and will include Italian, Indian, English, American, Mexican and more.

Music line-up

Enjoy live musical entertainment with a seasonal twist all day.

  • 12noon–1pm: Rochdale Music Service Rock School. Popular feel-good songs and few festive favourites.
  • 1pm–2pm: The Salvation Army Brass Band. Timeless Christmas carols and festive classics.
  • 2pm–2.50pm: Joe Dunne. A talented singer-songwriter from Rochdale. He'll play a range of acoustic covers from the 60s through to now.
  • 4pm–4.50pm: Shenanigans. A fun guitar and fiddle duo playing popular songs and classic hits.
  • 5pm–5.50pm: The Boutiques. Rock and roll classics from Fleetwood Mac to The Beatles.
