The Statement of Purpose details the aims and objectives of the Adoption Service: the mechanisms that are in place for assuring the quality of the service, and the range of services provided to children, prospective adopters, adoptive parents, adopted adults and birth families.
It describes how the Adoption Service ensures the best outcomes for children in need of adoption and their families. It includes details of the staffing and organisational structure of the service, management arrangements, monitoring and evaluation of services and complaint procedures and the details of the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted).
