- Summary
-
The Adoption Recruitment Strategy outlines the approach and plans that the Adoption Service has for recruiting adopters for looked after children requiring adoption.
It provides a way of ensuring the National Standards and the Adoption and Children Act 2002 Regulations are met and exceeded. It provides details of the context in which the strategy has been planned and the key issues facing the service.
We recognise the importance of recruiting suitable adopters who meet the needs of looked after children requiring adoption. Auditing the profiles of existing children waiting for adoption and monitoring early alerts for children where adoption may become the final care plan will allow the adoption service to assess the future needs of the service.
