Street parking - penalty charges
Our Car Parks Services staff always aim to enforce the
Traffic Management Act 2004 fairly and equitably.
We believe that effective parking enforcement benefits
public transport users, pedestrians, cyclists and responsible
drivers.
Our Car Parks Services team maintain ticket machines as well as
the signs and infrastructure of on and off-street car parking to
make sure parking bays are always available and safe to use.
The team also aims to handle all enquiries in a courteous and
helpful manner and respond to all written representations about
penalty charge notices.
Pay a parking penalty charge
Instructions for paying parking penalty charge notices are on
the notices themselves, you can also pay your penalty charge
online using our secure payments service. If you have lost the
penalty charge notice or need more information, please contact
us.
Dispute a car parking penalty charge notice
Appeals will only be considered in writing. Please write to the
address on the back of the penalty charge notice or contact
us setting out the reasons for your appeal. Alternatively you
can complete a Penalty charge notice appeal form and return it
to us.
