Report a pothole or damage to the road surface
We decide on the severity of a pothole by the risk it poses
to road users. This is difficult to judge because all potholes
present some risk. The factors we take into account
include:
- Size and depth of pothole
- Traffic type, speed and volume
- Road alignment and visibility
- Position in relation to road width.
Potholes can also appear on pavements and footways.
