Heybrook Primary

Heybrook School want all their children to be happy, healthy, successful and learn together.

Heybrook School is a very large primary school with over 500 pupils. The Heybrook site has provided schooling for pupils of all ages for over 100 years. There are seventeen classrooms, two modern computer suites, two large halls, a library and a community room within the building. They also have a very large school field and a purpose built games area within the grounds.

Heybrook Sure Start Centre opened in 2002 with a daily playgroup. There are plans for the Heybrook Childrens’ Centre to open in 2008. A range of adult education classes take place in their community room.

Extended Services

Heybrook have achieved Healthy School Status, an Eco-School Award and provide, or signpost to, the following extended services:

  • School opening hours – 8am – 4pm (50 weeks a year)
  • Breakfast Club 8.15 – 9am (£1 per week)
  • Variety of after school clubs – 3.15pm – 4pm
  • Saturday club – providing internet access, sports, help with homework. A small snack is also provided (50p per week)
  • Summer school is held for one week during the holidays
  • Sure Start Children’s Centre (on site)
  • Multi-use games area which is fully marked out for a variety of sports, flood lighting available for winter months (free)
