We aim to help our children develop self confidence, the
desire to do their very best in all they do and to develop skills
and a love of learning that will stay with them for life.
We try to achieve this by working together with all members of
the school community to provide high quality teaching and learning
environments which recognise and value all children’s needs and
achievements.
The school has achieved Healthy School Status, Silver Eco Award
and we are also an Extended School.
- School opening times: 8.50am to 3.15pm term time only
- Breakfast Club run by school
- Holiday Clubs – provided onsite through RADPAC
- Sure Start provision – all year round
- Links with M6 Theatre Company
- After school clubs with activities such as: football,
cheerleading and music
We have close links with Hollingworth Lake and are committed to
outdoor learning. We achieve this through the Forest Schools
Curriculum. Our children have opportunities to explore their
environment and we encourage them to be self sufficient, we even
grow our own vegetables!
Hamer is dedicated to supporting our parents and wider community
as well as our children. Through the family liaison provision
provided by our Pastoral Manager Hazel Coward we hope to run adult
classes all year round in addition to our popular coffee mornings
and drop in sessions.
