Jobs at the council
As the largest employer in the Borough, we have hundreds of
vacancies every year in many different areas.
You can search for a particular post or browse the full list of
current vacancies, many of which also include full job descriptions
and person specifications. You can also apply online by using our
e-application forms.

help you succeed in your job search, including guidance notes to
help you complete the application form and information for disabled

Working rights
You have the right to work in Britain if you comply with the
following:
- You are a British citizen or have a right of residence in the
United Kingdom
- You are a national of an European Economic Area member
state
- You possess a Home Office or Department for Education and
Skills(DfES) permission to work
Under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 it is illegal for an
employer to appoint someone who does not have the right to work in
the United Kingdom.
