Youth Service
Our Youth Service provides a range of informal educational
opportunities across the borough, primarily aimed at 13 to 19 year
olds. This includes a range of open access provision such as youth
clubs for all young people plus detached work, volunteering, sports
sessions, Youth Council and Member of UK Youth Parliament
process.
It also includes more specialised work, such as around sexual
health or substance misuse, work in schools, the Youth Opportunity
and Youth Capital Funds, Youth Banks, 4wheels Project and a range
of arts activities including drama, dance, and music.
Youth Clubs
We offer a wide variety of activities through our youth clubs
including:

- Accredited courses
- DVD projects
- Music studio projects
- European youth exchange programmes
- Plus many more!
The Youth Service delivers some targeted provision for
particular groups such as with excluded pupils, those at risk of
offending, young carers and disabled young people. The Youth
Service leads on Targeted Youth Support, working in partnership
with schools and also provides positive activities for young people
on the streets using a fleet of mobile youth facilities.
