St. Michael’s C of E Primary School Bamford is a Voluntary
Aided Church of England school. The school enjoys close links with
St. Michael’s church and serves the community by providing an
education of the highest quality within the context of Christian
belief and practice.
The school is well known both locally and nationally for its
outstanding achievement. We firmly believe that academic excellence
goes together with and is enhanced by the children’s enjoyment and
experience of a broad range of opportunities both in and beyond the
classroom.
The latest Ofsted inspection of St.Michael’s in February 2009
judged the school to be outstanding in all areas. "This outstanding

of it’s work. Achievement is outstanding. Outstanding provision for
personal development and spiritual, moral, social and cultural

participate enthusiastically in all activities." The statutory
Inspection of Anglican Schools in March 2009 also judged the
