Alkrington Primary has achieved Healthy School Status and an
Eco-School Award. The school also provides, or signposts to,
the following extended services:
- School opening hours – up to 6pm
- Before and After School Club ‘Happy Days’ 8am - 9am and 3.15pm
- 5.30pm run by private provider on school site and open during
school holidays
- Breakfast Club run by school (£1.50 per day)
- Parent/Toddler Group on premises 8am - 2pm (50p per
session)
- Study support activities (including out of school hours,
provided by school and other providers) include Street Dance,
Drama, David Campbell Soccer School, rugby and hockey
- School Council
- Lunchtime activity clubs
- Cookery courses provided at Middleton Technology School during
half term
- Parenting support – linked to Webster Stratton courses offered
at Middleton Technology School
- School holiday care (mornings only) provided by ‘Happy Days’ –
a private registered childcare provider
- Take part in school sports competitions
- School is a base for Middleton Junior Choir and also Sure Start
three mornings a week
