Breakfast and after school clubs

Breakfast and after school clubs offer care before and after
school to those families who need it. They are aimed at
primary school age children (4-12 years of age).
They are held in a variety of settings such as schools,
community centres and private day nurseries. They usually open for
approximately one hour before school and close at around 6pm during
term-time. Some clubs also provide full day service during the
summer holidays. Some breakfast and after school clubs can offer
transportation to and from neighbouring schools.
Ofsted inspections
All clubs are regularly inspected by Ofsted (Office for
standards in education). A club can provide you with a copy of
this report.
You can also view a copy on the
Ofsted website.
Is it for me?
- I'm looking to bridge the awkward gap between school and work
hours
- It's an affordable option for me
- My child will love the chance to play with new friends
- I want one 'drop off' and my child to be in a place he or she
is used to
- I have to be in work early.
