The Energy and New Development
SPD
was adopted in May
2008 by Rochdale Borough Council.
Role of Supplementary Planning Document
To set out guidance on how to minimise energy consumption in the
design, construction and operation of new development, including
maximising on-site renewable energy generation. It sets out
specific standards on how development should integrate energy
efficiency and conservation technologies into new development,
including integration of renewable energy technologies.
