If you're planning to make changes to your
property and it's a listed building you'll need to apply for listed
building consent. It's an offence to carry out works without listed
building consent.

giving details of the work you're proposing to carry
out.
Apply for listed building consent
If you are proposing to make alterations to a listed building
you'll need listed building consent. You may also
need to apply for planning permission for this work
at the same time.
Applications for listed building consent can
be complicated and will required detailed discussion between
the applicant and the council. We'd advise you to get in touch with
us so we can help you through the application process. There's
no fee for Listed Building Consent.
