Report chewing gum
There's no doubt about it. Seeing lots of
chewing gum stuck to pavements make areas look really dirty.
Dropping gum is littering, and anyone caught dropping it could get
a fine.
A piece of gum costs about 3p to make - but it costs around 10p
to clean up each blob off the pavement. It's such a massive problem
that councils spend around £150 million a year on cleaning up the
UK's streets.
Help us plough council money into other areas. Do the
decent thing - please put gum in the bin.
