Stage set for Middleton Showcase
6 February 2012
Talented local youngsters will be taking to
the stage at the Middleton Arena on Friday for the annual Middleton
Showcase Event. Each year the evening of entertainment
provides a platform for the town’s emerging talent and, after
auditions held over the last couple of months, 22 acts will be
performing on the night to raise money for local charities.
Young people from across the town will be
showing off their talents on a varied line up that includes
singing, rapping, mc-ing, dancing from ballet to break dancing and
lots more!
Councillor Donna Martin, Cabinet Member for
Children, Schools and Families said the show will be another
fantastic evening of entertainment:
“These showcase events are a great opportunity
for young people, members of the community, parents and teachers to
see the talent of some of our young people. I know how impressed
our youth workers were with the talent they saw at the auditions
and I can’t wait until Friday!”
The evening, organised by our youth service,
will be performed entirely by 11-25 year olds with all money raised
being shared between the following charities - Middleton Heartline,
Springhill Hospice, the MaD Theatre Company and Demesne Digital
Mammography Fund.
The show is at Middleton Arena this Friday, 10
February from 6pm-9pm. Tickets, available on the door, are
just £3.
